I have things going for me.

1. I have been down this path before with my R32. I hit a piece of unmarked raised pavement and blew out $2000 in two wheels and tires. I went after the construction company and I got paid. They settled out of court.
2. This took place on a university campus UNH that I happen to do business with the women who is in charge of the construction project. I hope she will be able to point me in the correct direction to the person to get this solved ASAP.

The last time in my R32 it was like a 3 month process before I was paid. I will keep you posted.

Good luck bro... Normally as long as they have it marked as "Construction Zone" or "Construction Ahead", that's enough for them.

HAHAHA, for the longest time my car was making this god awful ratteling sound and i couldn't find out what it was. Finally i found out my exhaust was hitting that peice that you pictured because i had bottomed out and bent it upwards (towards the exhaust). I put the car on jack stands got under and just grabbed a pair of channel locks and yanked, tugged, and put just hung on with all my weight until that peice you picture bent back down to where it should be...problem solved!! Nothing a little muscle and a set of channel locks cant do.

Update

Some better carnage pictures. Strange how it only f*cked up that one part when it hit? All the plastic diffusers around the area don’t even have a scratch on them. The tech was like “never scene this one before.”
