Colgan Bra Fitment Issue

Hi guys, kinda new here. I was referred to this forum by a friend. Anyway, I recently got a full nose mask from Colgan and had it installed on the G. Problem is, the hood won't close after installing the bumper and the hood masks. I think the Colgans are too thick and won't allow the hood to be shut properly. Has anyone encountered with this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't know how the Colgan attaches etc. But check the rubber bump stops on the left and right of the hood.

I will move this to Details later to give a better chance. But let's see what some say here.

Andrew, We Miss and Love You! Peace!

Re: Colgan Bra Fitment Issue

Hmmm.... when I close the hood with the Colgan on, I usually drop the hood just a few more inches higher than I normally would. If I drop the hood at the normal height, hood wouldn't close .

Mine fits perfect and I love my Colgan. It might be just a break in issue, like a new pair of shoes. You could always try letting it sit out in the sun for about a hour to soften it up a bit, then try putting it back on and see if that helps.

Make sure the bra is pulled snug all the way around, especially in the wheel wells. I ahve encountered this problems before as well and you just have to make adjustments to how the bra is placed until the hood will close.

My experience is the same as G35Newbie. Just drop the hood from a little higher up. Should close OK.

Done exactly the same thing and now the hood will close. Kinda scary though dropping that hood at a much higher height. Thanks for the input guys.
