2005 G35 Coupe Info
Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
Well, Nissan isn't concerned about making current owners happy. Nissan has to attract new buyers to sell more cars. There is nothing wrong with making improvements when needed. Honda significantly revamped the interior of the S2000 after just 2 years.
Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
If they redesign it. I'm going to get mad. It will be the end of me buying from Nissan. I will sell my car and get the next generation M3.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
Who told you this? I heard about a possible G35 wagon being released in 05, nothing about a hatchback. I heard about the interior design changing as well. Maybe less plastic pieces this time... =P
Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
Hmmmmm....
If they make the coupe a hatchback (not saying this is true, just contemplating), then do they get that horrible crossmember that the Z has, which ruins any trunk space you have in the back?

Good idea MiXeD, but it's the principle against them changing it so fast. =D What ever happened to keeping ppl happy with your cars so they go back to buy more? I mean, they want me to buy the 07 GTR don't they? =)

I heared that the wheels will be changed, the front and rear bumbers were chaniging slightly, and the dash and center console was changing SLIGHTLY (i.e. just a little more refined version of the crrent dash and center console. Also the rear lights may get a clear housing.

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
The interior is the weakest part of the G35 especially the plastics. They have to keep improving it to stay competitive, don't forget the new 3 and 4 series is coming out.
My own guess is it won't look drastically different, but the ergonomics & controls will be improved as well as the materials used.

Jspec, I heard that it was going to fly, too. Yep, the 2005 model is going to fly
.
Seriously, I think it's too early to tell as far as what will change. I believe we didn't know about the changes to the 2004 model until June/July time frame. So, expect the same with the 2005 model. Until then, it'll mostly be speculation. If you are patient enough, wait until they announce what will change. Good luck!

Re: 2005 G35 Coupe Info
According to reports in R&T and C&D this past month, Carlos Ghosn, who you may recognise as CEO of Nissan, has committed to unveiling a new GTR in 2007, and has made assurances that it will be a "world" car, available in the US (north america actually). That qualifies as horses mouth? You decide.
