DAMN IT. 40 miles on my way to the 800mile journey to NY, a little rock fly out of no way and hit my windshield. Now there is a crack on my car! O M F G. = (

I am in NYC now. How much does it cost? Do you know where is a good place to replace windshield in NYC.

same thing happened to me but I have 3 chips because 2 rocks hit at one time and the 3rd hit a day before...my luck.

speaking of windshield, has anyone ever notice that our windshield and windows are bootleg?

i mean, for a brand like "Infiniti", going for the "Luxurious" spot in the automarket, shouldn't our windows at least have the "Infiniti" logo etched onto it?

I mean my integra has "Honda" on the window, which lets you know that the car didn't get a replacement window at bobs auto glass for less.

anyone else see this? or is my brand new infinti had all 5 windows smashed in and infinti decided to call bobs auto glass for less to replace all 5 windows.

Does your insurance cover Glass? Don't go to a dealership unless you wanna get raped, I work for a glass company and if you want a factory w/s they will get it for you but the replacement shield they provide meets all dot standards and it will be fine...but shop around alot of place will match prices

Does warranty cover glass?? I still have the standard warranty with my car. IT will be great if they cover windshield?? Does anyone have the answer??

warranty covers manufacturer defects. Not accidents.

Replacing a windshield at a joe blow shop is about 150 -350.. Dealership will charge 500-900+.

for the G35, i would go thru my insurance. pay the 500 deductable and let the insurace cover the rest.

 

Can I claim insurance for this? What is the protocal? I think i have 500 deductable too.

most insurance companies will cover the windshield with NO deductible as long as you get the replacement glass (not the INFINITI-branded one) ... just call them and report a glass claim. They'll give you a number to a local glass company who can replace the windshield in just a few hours. It's really very simple...

 

you need to look into your states policys...In Mass. they cover auto glass with full coverage insurance so you don't pay a dime...if your stae does not cover it the deductable should'nt be no more than $100.00...Goodluck

 

in florida its is free for any1 with insurance, they replace your winshield once a year if needed... has to have a crack that is longer than a dollar bill is wide, but you get a cheap replacement... had to do it twice in my z and 3 times in my girls honda...
