G35C Vs Lancer EVO
OK. I have auto with plenum, exhaust, z-tube with filter.
I have a friend(bigginer level) with Evo and I'm gonnal race this weekend. Do I have any chance? I don't expect to win but at least hang with him.

if he knows how to drive you will lose. i'm looking (right now...10:20 am) at my lightning yellow Evo getting freezing rained on waiting for Eagles game. your car nicer, you can stay close though

the newer one. I personally like the pervious version better If I must choose. The driver just started to leard stick about 3 months and He's keep telling me that I'll see nothing but the dust!!!!!! Now that really ticked me.!

The EVO will proprably take you unfortunately. It will be kinda close off the line with the EVO pulling away at the end

It really depends upon how you are racing and what he has. If you race off the line, you won't have a change. If you are doing a roll from 60 to 130-plus, you may have a chance. If he isn't stock, you won't have a chance even on a roll. If he says he only has a couple bolt-ons, simple bolt-ons like intakes, exhausts and downpipes can easily push an EVO over 300 hp at the wheels.

I'm more concerned with 60+ mph. By the way how fast can the EVO go up to? My top speed was 154mph.

In a standard drag, he's going to beat you, probably even if he doesn't drive well. The certainly ugly, nowhere near as nice as the G (inside or out), but it is fast. Currently its still just a turboed 2.0, but of they ever turbo their already existing 2.4 it would be awesome.

I am sorry but he's gonna beat you. In straights and even more in the twisties. These two cars aren't meant to race each other. Evo8 is a pure performance machine, the skimps out on comestics, interior build quality but it huals ***. It is nowhere near the class of G35, but pure enthusiast machine.
Bottom line who cares if its faster. That's not the reason why you purchase the G.
