Adding Brembos to Autos

Has anyone added brembo brakes to their automatic G35c? Did you get the dealership to do it? Where can I get them? Is there any affect on the ABS, brake assist, etc?

Re: Adding Brembos to Autos

People don't realize that the automatic is more money than the stick if all things are equal.

The Infiniti salesman that I dealt with didn't even realize that. He kept telling me that the 6 speed was more expensive than the auto. The deceiving part of it is that you get the Brembo's $1,200 -$1,500 option just for the front Brembo's at the Mini dealer), 18" wheel upgrade with the LSD on the 6 speed standard. If you removed all of this and then compared the base price of the 6 speed to the auto, you'd find the auto would be more expensive (as it usually is).

Re: Adding Brembos to Autos

the brembo's are super easy to install. Just remove old caliper and rotor, inmstall bigger caliper and rotor. It took about 2 hours to install on my 350Z. The only problem is that you will need a 18 inch rim. AS far as getting them. Look around the internet for someone who is selling them(if you want the gold ones). I found someone who had a G35C and was selling the brembo's for $2400. To buy them from the dealership it's around $5500-6000 dollars. Or striaght from brembo it's around $4000. I don't have a service manual to the G35, but the master cylinder and braking system should be the same for a non-brembo and brembo system.

I noticed that the Auto can come out more then the 6mt. People forget the 6sp automatically comes with the leather, then you get the premium which automatically puts the 18" and brembos. I forget where the sunroof comes in, but thats included too somewhere.

I'm just glad I'm done with the search and going to dealerships.
