i say looks first because those type of mods usually doesn't have a chance of voiding your warranty. When your warranty close to running out, do whatever you want to the engine.

So adding on the HKS exhaust would void my warranty, or just issues related to the exhaust??

Absolutely go for Performance. Not to mention that the looks mods that you specifically called out will cost you like twice as much as the HKS exhaust system when you factor in the painting of the body parts and installation.

I think the headlight upgrade alone is like $800-$900 if you're buying new parts.

Personally... I appreciate things that perform/work well over things that just look nice.

One other thing to consider though(kinda the opposite of what I said about suggesting going with performance over looks).... I wouldn't expect just an exhaust system to do a real noticeable amount for you in terms of power gains, although it will make the car sound sweeter and that's something that you yourself will notice when you drive it and will probably make the car more fun to you rather than being a mod that makes the car just look better to other people as you drive by.

And as someone else already mentioned, an exhaust system does also usually make a the car look better too.

dont upgrade your tail lights man... i think the 2003-2005 tail lights are better looking than 06 tail lights... upgrade to the 06 headlights though, it makes my car look like 2006.

yea go for looks first... installing an exhaust system isn't going to increase your 0-60 or 0-100 times... and the loud exhaust is annoying imho. Can you bear listening to the loud noise from your exhaust on a 6-hour drive?

Thumbs up

Just wanted to thank you all for voting and helping me out. I live in a small town and don't get the opportunity to ask other fellow G owners about modding, etc.

Based on this poll, I've decided to go with the HKS Hi Flow Exhaust system. I've also decided to go with a 5/16 plenum spacer (not sure who to go with, but seems like most of you went with Motordyne).

Just wanted to know if I'll need to reprogram my ECU or make any other changes when upgrading the exhaust and installing the plenum spacer??? Also, if anyone knows where I can get a good deal on HKS and a 5/16 plenum spacer. Thanks again!

Great choice.
I'm driving around on stock wheels this week and it's fun being a bit stealthy.
Exhaust is one of my favorite mods. Wheels make a difference though.
I hit some twisties this weekend without my wide tires and I really missed them.
Now I need sways.
Welcome to the neverending story.
