Anyone thinking about an 07?

I went to the dealer wednesday for an oil change. While I was waiting I saw an 07 coupe in the showroom. IP, Wheat, 6MT and everything but Nav. I think it stickered for around $37,900.

I just hit 40,000 on my 04, and would like to upgrade soon. I'm still not feeling the G37 style as much as the older body. But is it foolish to try and pick up a 07 now, when in a month or so the G37's should be hitting the showroom?

I know I'll probably take a beating on my car if I trade it. And I don't think they will negotiate too big a deal at this point.

I just wonder if there will be a lot of leftovers in Aug/Sept. or if they stopped production on the 07 a while ago.....

any thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance.

If you want the 07... get it NOW because of the Infiniti's deals going right now for the outgoing coupe! The summer event is ending July 31st and the G37s will be coming in about 3 weeks from that time.

Edit: Also dealerships will want to be selling as many of the outgoing coupes as they can since the new model is coming in. Now please, no one take this as negativity towards the G35... I'm just saying that's how it goes with dealerships. For the typical buyer, "new" sounds better than "old".

If they give you a good price, go for it. Since you have an 04, the 07 will have the updated interior.

I got an 07 coupe at cost last month. I think there are financing specials now. I think you can get a good deal. If not walk away or wait a bit until they really want to get rid of the G35 with the G37 coming out.

I think its less then $2,500.

Has anyone been able to get a 6MT out the door for $35,000? Is that impossible at this point?

I'm sure I could sell my car Privately for around $25.000. The thing is immaculate, not a single ding/dent or accident. All service records.....anyone who jumped on it would really get a deal, believe me.....this car has been babied to death.

I just got my red 07 2 weeks ago and got an awesome deal, I took the 1.9% for 60 months. The deal was so good I traded my 350z roadster in earlier than I had planned. If you want an 07 now is a good time so you make sure you get the color and options you want. Most dealers have already stopped ordering the G35's or so I was told.

My 07 g35 couple is less than a month old. do it.

$1500 factory to dealer incentive (not public knowledge) on the 07's.

Wow, That's good deal.

For the thread starter.
I say just negotiate on pricing and walk out.
Let them call you, When they really Need to get rid of 07's.
That's only if you really want 07.

I mean afterall, just some minor upgrades/differences from 04 anyways.
If that's worth extra cash to ya!

I thought about this too, but I am too nervous about the oil burning issues with the 298hp motor.

I'm pretty much on the same boat as some of you guys. Thinkin of getting an '07 but I'm scared to be disappointed with regrets when I see the G37 in person and end up liking it.

My friend just got his '07 OB 5AT everything but Navi for $37,000. (sticker price was 42+G's) He had the dealership wax his car and they f*cked up his hood with some crazy swirl marks. Now the manager is offering him to trade it in for a G37, IDK if they'll value his car for 37G's. I also don't know how much Infiniti Guam will jack up the prices on the G37's. He's still undecided.
