whether or not to get the NAV. wasnt sure if it was worth it, but test drove one with it and CANT IMAGINE not having it. its soo kick ***, also makes the car feel about 1000 times more luxurious. id regret it everyday i had the car if i didnt have it

Me too. As soon as I saw that I had to have it. Once they get past the quickness and smoothness, all people talk about is how cool the Navi is.

Having a map of all roads, banks, gas stations, restaurants, and just about everything else with you everywhere you go at all times is absolutely invaluable. Within 10 years they will be like cell phones, everyone will have one. You won't regret it.

I've said this a thousand times-- I've heard a TON of people without the navi say "I wish I'd gotten it...", but I have yet to hear one single person tell me they wish they hadn't.

i never thot of getting a navi. personally i dont go places where i dont know. everywhere i go, i've been...so i dont need one.

it's not just bout the NAV, it's the idea of u can have a DVD add on tha attracts people

 

I need nav when I travel.. I usually fly, not drive.. so I have a PPC with Mapopolis and a Bluetooth GPS. It uses the same NAVtech data as Infiniti.. In fact, I have much newer, updated data.. I dont have the DVD phone book... but I have points of interest with phone numbers.. works for me. I use it more than I would use the OEM nav..

I was riding in my Max, next to a coupe with a NAV popped out. It looks sweet! I couldn't justify the $2,000 for a nice to have, but it's definitely one of the better NAV designs out there.

If my coupe would of came with it, I would have bought it. The extra 2K wouldn't of had bothered me. Since I do, what I do for a living, I ALWAYS know where I'm going.

The Nav for me wasn't an option. It was a must. There was no way I was getting a coupe without the nav. Thats why I waited so long for the car and even compromised on my first and second choice color. Its definitely worth it though, for me anyway...

Well, hell I can read a map so I dont need the Nav. What is invaluable to me is all the extra storage space I have in the interior without the Nav since the coupe has a limited glove box.

Heck, I can too, but it's much more than just a map-- I think that's the value in it. My dad, the world's biggest technophobe who operates on the "business card and a pen-- no PDA" ideology, fell in love with the FX's nav and loves the features it adds.

get it... I SOOOOOOOOOO regret not getting it... but then again... i dont have extra $2000...

 

Nav looks very cool, but I see no use for it on my personal car. I'll just borrow the one from work if I really need a nav.

If the 2k isn't a problem then definitely get it. It's very nice option and definitely much more than just a map. I use it all the time to find various stores and such.

The only irritating thing about it is how it disables certain functions while the car is in motion. I know the 'they have to protect you from yourself' principal is behind this started when that lady spilled McDonalds hot coffee on herself, but It sure would be nice that your passenger could still use it full-function while you are driving.
