New 07 G35 Coupe: "Must Have" Mods Suggestions

I just purchased an 07 5AT G35 coupe, Black Obsidian on Stone, with premium package and sport suspension package. What are the best initial affordable mods I should do? CAI? Plenum? Please recommend the best brands. I'm not looking at lowering the car or putting on big brakes yet, just simple mods. Also, who has the best Gialla replica grille and clear corners?

Performance mods have very minimal gains. The single biggest gain is probably the 5/16th MD spacer. Then everything else will yield smaller gains and eventually, you will need to get something like a UTEC to tune it. For a 5AT, grounding wires from Grounding Gear will yield a slightly faster/smoother shift in manual mode (although very subjective).

If you want to go with CAI, Injen or Aem are both good, add a spacer this combo would be a good start and then you can think about other mods that you would like to go with after that. Grounding kit and hyper voltage system are always good as it says increase torque, throtte, longer batt. etc...sun cyberspeed is a very good brand to go with.

Motordyne 5/16 spacer and MREV2 + HKS exhaust! I'll be doing that soon on my '05 G35 6mt. Power gains should be in the neighborhood of 20-25hp.

I have both the Stillen intake / UTR polished z-tube combo and custom grounding kit for sale. PM me for a crazy package deal.

Yup. Thats why I said after the 5/16th spacer, very minimal power gains for a 5at. He needs a tune after he gets exhaust, intake, headers, cats, etc... Your better off going FI after saving some dough.

BTW, I have just the 5/16th spacer and it performs fantastically...just enough to make me happy and stop modding

Step 1:
From Motordyne's website:
Multiple independent test show when used with a 5/16" spacer on the REVUP engine, the combination will add a "minimum" of 15+ HP and 18+ TQ in the upper midrange. Many independent MREV 2 Manifold REVUP tests have dynod in excess of 20HP and 30 TQ in the upper midrange and with high RPM peak power increased by 3-5 HP.

Step 2:
Add about another 10-14hp for the HKS system.

Step 3:
Do the math!
