2004, 05 and 06 Auto Coupes

Guys,

I'm seriously looking into getting a G35 coupe with auto, but wanted to see if there were any issues with the 2004, 05 and 06 models...Is one of these models years better than the other? I did do some research here but couldn't find opinions on this.

Thx

I have an 04 coupe auto. No major problems: axle clicking, fuel tank recall, passenger and driver side window motors replaced.

All the Coupes eat tires and rattle. You might want the 05 or newer as it has the larger brakes that last longer and the improved interior materials.

^ +1 The 05+ coupes FTW...they have had a couple of years to get the kinks out and you dont have to worry as much about burning oil or the other problems that the rev up motors have if your getting a AT.

I waited for the 06. I wanted BT, lights, different bumper and wing.
The 06 has a few more bells and whistles.

definitely go with an 06-07 comes with a new sport bumper (if you get sport) different wing (smaller and more subtle than the 03-05) and you get bluetooth if thats something that interests you.

+1...of course the newer the better but if you could get an 05' for low 20s, get it.

I have an 05'...original owner. Knocking on wood but I haven't had any issues like the ones mentioned above. Rattles are a common problems with most coupes so don't worry about that. Good luck

It is more probable but not an absolute that the newest model should have the majority of the inherent issues resolved.
