It may drive nicely, but this thing is butt-ugly.

Can you describe your oil issue with the G?

Yes! I got it for less than 25k! Others have done better than that.

Yep, no demand for these vehicles. Do I want a vehicle that everyone wants? No, makes mine that much more exotic. Read the reviews on the SRT6. It is a wonderful car and I and many others that I've run into think the car's styling is beautiful. It never gets boring. Never became popular because nobody was willing to pay 50 grand for a Chrysler. Only car enthusiasts and collectors bought them because they knew the true underpinnings and engineering behind the vehicle.

All questions should be answered in this article by Road and Track Magazine where the SRT6 took on a Nizmo 350 Z and a Porsche Boxter S. You might be surprized who won.

Don't worry, there are plenty of SRT6s waiting to be purchased. Chrysler dealers love seeing G35s on their lots! They'll give you a great deal because the corporation has given the green light to unload 'em as fast as possible. If you're worried about the Mercedes reliability, don't. They come with an awesome warranty.

As for my oil issue. I had 12k miles on my G and I had to add a quart of oil about every 1000 miles. Took it to the dealer, did the consumption test. The dealer even said they were surprized and thought it was excessive. They called Infiniti and were told that they were working on a problem. I was told it could take a long time, so just keep an eye on the oil and add as needed. Uh, no thanks, I paid good money for this car, I shouldn't have to add oil all the time. Also, my body mouldings came loose and had to be reapplied, had to have the radio face replaced due to sticking buttons, tires were shot and the car needed realignment at 10k, and had a few rattles that couldn't be located. The Xfire is quiet, has no rattles, doesn't burn oil, and is very comfortable for a 2 seat car. The seats are unreal especially with the Alcantara.

Not knocking the G, but it just didn't do it for me anymore. Enjoy your Gs, and I'm sure I'll enjoy the G sedan we're buying for the fiance next month.

Couple more views for those who PMed me.

I'm burning 1 quart at 800-1000 miles. This is insane. I'm expected this issue to be fixed because I'm not up for adding a quart every 1000 miles. My FD only need 1/2 quart ever 3000 miles - and all of this while it was leaking.

Some people might think it is ugly, but i dont mind this car at all. My neighbor has the non-srt version of this car and he seems to like it alot. From what i understand this car is basically like the older slk32 mercedes, cuz it has the supercharged 6. Also is this car mod-friendly? I bet a chip/exhaust/tune would make this car superfast.

Cgocifer1..........sorry to say, but I think you maybe heading for an overall negative feedback rally. Good luck with your car, but I don't think you will be recruiting many Chrysler lovers.

I dont know how anyone can actually like the look of these cars. In person they look 10 times worse than in pictures. From the rear they look OKAY but everything else looks terrible.
