No More G
No More G
Well, just saying thanks for the information and support on this site. I still love Gs, but I didn't want to deal with the oil issue anymore. Also, I wanted my new car since it came out, but wasn't willing to pay the 50 grand they demanded. The car is amazing! Quality is top notch and in some areas better than the G. The interior materials are excellent except for the faux aluminum on the console. The doors have real aluminum though. It is extremely fast! 330 HP, 0-60 in 4.8 (reported), and 13.2 in 1/4 mile (reported). Of course its all Mercedes AMG under the body. The engine is hand built in Germany. The car is assembled in Germany as well.
You can find these things at bargain basement prices because they just didn't sell. American buyers didn't like the fact that it is a German car really, and Import buyers didn't like the Chrysler badging. Their loss, my gain.
Good luck to all and happy motoring!

Nice car, congratulations. Many are unhappy with all the problems the G has, but all cars have there little annoyances.....
The car looks sweet. I only have seen a couple of those so far, so they are rare.
Other than the glove box door, the interior looks good compared to some of the plainer sports cars out there.
Good luck, and safe driving.

Thanks guys. The looks are either love it or hate it, but I think it is beautiful and has a ton of character. This car will look good 10 years from now.
The gas mileage is about 17 city, 20 highway. Not the greatest, but it is supercharged and luckily isn't my daily driver.
My car is one out of 2,016 SRT6 Coupes in the world. The engine is hand built and the entire car is manufactured and assembled in Germany.
Yes, all cars have problems, but I ended up with a bitter taste from all the run-around. I wanted one of these when they first came out.
I'll be lurking around here I'm sure. I still love the G35s. Actually, thinking about a new sedan for the lady of the house.

I had my engine replaced due to oil consumption that I didn't even know I had. I'm curious as to what kind of annoyances did you go through. Did Infiniti refuse to give you a loaner?
In any event good luck on the new ride. I like SRT Chryslers and Jeeps.

BUT I CAN'T STAY MAD AT HER!
I paid 24k for it. Chrysler is giving these things away. This was a 50k dollar car when new. You can get a brand new one for about 26k or less.
"the G for that? Whatever floats your boat bro. Good Luck!"
Hell yeah! Let's see, 0-60 in under 5 seconds, exotic car styling, rare status (only 2,016 SRT Coupes in the entire world), hand-built AMG Mercedes engine, brakes/suspension/drive train/everything sourced from Mercedes AMG, very high quality interior materials (except for the center console, still not as bad as early G35 consoles), an amplified Infinity sound system, power everything, and an 8yr/80k mile warranty. Oh, and I owe less on this than I did on my G. No oil consumption issues as of yet either.
my Infiniti dealer actually handled my problem ok. The last thing I heard was that Infiniti was working on a solution, but it could take 3 days, 3 months, or longer. "Just keep checking and adding oil as necessary." No thanks.
Don't knock the SRT6 until you drive one. It took my breath away and made the G feel boring and look boring in comparison. I had 4 people yesterday comment on how stunning and badass the car is and come and ask questions about it.
Look, I still love the Gs, but I wanted one of these when they first came out and right now they are one of the steals of the century. I am a car enthusiast. I like all kinds of makes and models. You don't have to be entirely loyal to one brand.
