Low speed road noise

I've noticed that my car is having lots of road noise from the front tires when I'm going 20-30mph. I'm lowered on tein basics about 1.5in in the front. Should installing a front camber kit help with the road noise? I'll probably have to get new tires soon since I'm around 19k on the oem's, but just wanted to see if I can at least get rid of the road noise a bit for now. Thanks

once you have tire feathering, the rumble stays. I heard of people remounting tires on opposite sides, eventhough it helps, but they said the noise is still there.

Getting new tires (non-directional) will lessen the noise, but the roar will be coming back after 8-9,000 miles once the feathering sets in again. Remounting the tires and flipping them only slows down the feathering but will not eliminate it.

so are you guys telling me that my front camber kit won't help reduce my road noise? If this is the case then do any of you know a place where I can get 2 front tires for my oem 19's for a good price? Thanks

yes basically once your tires are feathered, the noise will stay. i had stock suspension and my tires were roaring at 22k miles. check the marketplace for tire vendors. i'd wait until you need to replace all 4 if you have good tread still.

Damn! oh well, does anyone have a set off used tires with some good tread left that they are willing to part with? I'm located in Woodland Hills CA.

front camber kit will help once you get a set of tires. kinetix should be the best cuz it gives postive camber (but it's not readily adjustable). most of the other "sliding" kits (megan [which i have], cusco, ichiba, etc) only give more negative camber. those are good for racing and autocrossing but they're crap for everyday driving cuz of the feathering and excessive tire wear - not to mention they come out of alignment easily.

Summer performance tires are noisy period. The OEM Michelin Pilot Sports that came on my 04 G started to get noisy around 10,000 miles....after that, it was painful driving the car without the radio turned up.....

I replaced them, and the new Michelins were quite to the point I wasn't sure they were Summer Performance tires......but they are starting to make noise again after 7,000 miles.

Worn tires or unevenly worn tires will always make more noise.

Also inspect the tires thoroughly for nails. My brother complained about road noise for the longest time. Then he noticed a nail in the front tire. Once he had it plugged, the noise went away. Not a likely scenario here, but it's worth a shot.
