Oh wise one. Newbie here!

I am a proud new owner of a 05 g35 6MT. I had a Saab 9-3 2.0T prior and I decided to get rid of it after a new cd player display, Heads up display controller, rear window control, driver control, master cyclinder, brake valve and power booster. I am sure I could think of more but I only owned the car for ONE year.

So, I did an extensive search on remote car starters and 6mt and cannot find anything conclusive on a brand of remote start that will work. Anyone out there who can help? Thanks and this car is crazy fun. I am already looking at the world of wonderful mods available.

Firetech Compustar makes a good kit. You have the option to get the SS Remote which gives a up a half mile of signal. Wont kill your starter and won't start if the car is in gear. Pretty decent unit if you ask me. I have it on my G and my old Eclipse.

You can get remote start on your factory keyfob...I believe DEI makes it..most any decent stereo shop can do it...installed runs $200-$250.

Where do you live?

I live in Chicago and all the mobile elec. places around here tell me they don't install on a stick and no one does here but I have a hard time thinking that. You said DEI (Valet) makes them for the OEM keyfob the is remote start? Do you have anymore info? I wouldn't think twice for that price.

Yea - you have stereo shops evidentally that don't know how to do this safely for MT's.
