Does anyone know if the spare tire(donut) will last a week of daily driving? My right front rim has a little curb damage and i want to get it fixed. The shop says it will take about a week. They said they can possibly give me a spare 18' rim that they have but it might be some ugly rim or something. Also, if i use the spare, is there a chance that the brembos may get scratched? It doesnt look like there is much clearance if i use the spare tire. Any info would be appreciated..thanks

I would hope they tested the spare enough so as to not make it damage the existing OEM brakes...

Whats wrong with the tire place's spare, it has to be better than the infiniti temp. A week is a long time to drive on a temp tire. I guess you never have to drive over 35mph???

Well, i brought it to the place to get it fixed and my car is just on the spare tire. The shop is like 50 miles away and so i had to go on the freeway. The spare seems to be holding up..i was going 60 mph. On the drive though, the car was kinda wobbly.

I know what your going through...I damaged my rim also...I drive 100 miles a day so using the spare was not an option for me...I was lucky...found out my dealer had a wheel repair service that did repairs on site...dropped my car off in the morning...got a loaner...and 3 hrs later my rim was repaired!! only had some scratches on the lip but none the less I did not have to dismount tire and ship rim or wait any length of time for the repair.....LOL 2old 4this
