Cruising Speed

Is it just me or does the g35 seem to be its most comfortable at 80mph? Mine is an automatic and everytime I hit the highway I look at my speedo after a couple minutes and I'm doing a steady 80. The car seems to have a sweet spot at that speed, maybe its a combination of the automatic and the rpm's...

Re: Cruising Speed

It does ride real nice between 80 and 90. I used to cruise at 3000 rpms (approx 83 or 84 mph), now I set the cruise at it's max, 90mph.

Re: Cruising Speed

I agree that the car those feel most comfortable at 80mph. At 60 you still hear the exhaust taunting you to go more but at 80 its quiet and everything is all good, till ya hit traffic!

Re: Cruising Speed

That is my usual cruising speed as wheel. Everything just seems to purr at that speed except the coppers so watch out!

Re: Cruising Speed

I get the most MPG when I am cruising at 70mph.

Re: Cruising Speed

I agree...when I drive up and back from work each day I always find myself doing right around the 80 mark....seems where my foot feels most comfortable..even when I go thru the tolls when I get back up to speed their I am 75-80 everytime! and my gas mileage is usually between 20-22 mpg since my miles are all highway....so there you go!2old4this

Re: Cruising Speed

The sweet spot is 150mph. The car seriously felt like it was going 80mph. So smooth at any speed. Ive gotten best gas mileage at 55mph. Construction zones are a pain.

Re: Cruising Speed

I had to laugh because I was thinking the same. I love the way the car feels driving at 70. It just feels right and you know the car wants to go faster. The only time I get to drive this fast is when I get to go up to my friends on the weekend. The speed limit is 70 and I take full advantage of it.
