Alright, I offered a guy 28k for his 2001 S4 with exhaust, chip, intake and stage 3 turbo kit. It has been dynoed at 325 hp.( I have been with the owner when he dynoed at it). This thing would smoke the coupe but the question is, whats the pros of the S4 vs the coupe and of course... the cons

 

Pros of S4
-fast beast that's already fully modded.
-quattro is always a plus
-audi build quality
Cons
-already modded
-high possibility of the car being abused in previous ownership
-doesnt look as good as the G35 coupe.(opinion based)
-reliability issues

these are just a few that I can think of...the S4 vs G35 coupe isn't a good comparison because of the obvious sedan vs coupe and awd vs rwd but that's all that my tired mind can think of at this moment. Oh also, plan on upgrading your clutch with the mods that are on the car since modded s4's and a6 2.7t's will kill the clutch if you launch on high rpm's.

Also be aware that Audi takes great issue with Highly modded vehicles and will reject any repairs they can link to the mods. A good example my friend went through with his modded A4 was that Audi showed that the increased turbo PSI generated by the new chip he added caused his blow off valve and one other component to fail prematurely. As a result he had to pay for the repairs out of pocket even though he had a 100K warranty. So I would be concerned with warranty issues most. There will also be added cost for repairs as it is a German vehicle. I still love the S4 for though. I almost bought one before I decided on the G. Good luck.
