So the parents come over to visit today, and I show off my car. (Dad hasn't seen it yet) He couldn't adjust the seats, and I could not get him to stop pulling the belt all the way out. "It keeps getting tighter!!!" I told him thats because he's pulling it out till it locks, but every time he does the same thing. He refused to set in it like a car and complained about the room. (As I posted earlier he driver a Ford Expedition)

Anyway the phone rings for my JD power survey and he tells them the car sucks, and a "*** car thats too small, and poorly designed"

What do you guys think about that.... My car my house and his opinion..... GHRRRRRR

LMAo @ Dally, now thats some funny sh*t. Seriously though FORD says it alll. Parents will never understand. I mean my mom dirves an S2000 and she got all excited one day cause she had just got back from taking the car up to 7000 Rpm. In a 9000 rpm screamer she got excited at 7k. Thats just a few RPm after VTEC. I love her but lets face it some parents will just never understand the newer rides.

Re: The Old man, doesn't like the G

My dad used to rag on my 1st car - a 1971 Trans AM. He called it "The pig boat" because of the rumply idle and loud exahusts. One day, I took him for a ride and showed him why I liked it so much (525 ft-lbs torque, 435+ hp - and *no* VDC). After he pried his fingernails out of the dash, he said "Damn, this thing's dangerous!".

He *loves* my G.

Re: The Old man, doesn't like the G
My dad likes my G so much he's considering it as a possibility for his new car. My mom loves my car. They love the style, the interior, exterior, the performance, even the sound of the exhaust. Of course, my dad prefers Japanese cars to American ones, thinks the engineering is more reliable. While they may not be enthusiasts, they know quality when they see it

Thats some funny stuff, but understandable. You will never see to many older people staring at your G with their jaws dropped. It's like expecting them to be into Britney Spears. Did you say Kristi Whitman, no dad, I said Britney Sp...... oh never mind.
