No rip here that I can observe. If after they replace my bolster and I'm not totally happy with the job, I won't take the car until it looks like the passenger side.

To the canadian guys -

I have an '04 coupe and when I brought it up with the dealership, they stated that "US TSB are different than Canadian ones; therefore they will not replace it"

Its a bit ridiculous.

Picked up the car last night. Dealer replaced it together with the malfunctioning air bag in the seat and the leather and the buttom part of the seat look like new. No complaint here.

I didn't see the TSB but the service guy told me there is one out for the leather seat. I'm not sure if the particular years are listed, but they did mine with no hassle, but they also had to replace the air bag in the seat, so I don't know if that didn't have anything to do with that.

The only problem I see is that they didn't do anything with the plastic part that the leather ripped on, so my guess is the same thing will happen again. Since I'll be out of warranty in less than a year I'll probably put something inbetween it so the leather does not rub around that sharp edge.

I had the exact same rip in my 03 leather, the must replace the foam underneath the leather. Its not the leather not seating right, I was told thats it a common problem. The foam in the seats only lasts about 3 years before it really starts sagging, especially on coupe seats on the sides that keep your legs in. If you dont have them replace the foam it will just slowly rip again
