Maybe it was the OZ rally Ed. all EVO'd out. There is a yellow one around my parts and at first it does look like an EVO. I didn't figure it out till I got closer and saw the smaller wheelbase and no intercooler. So if he did walk him then he should have been able to see that massive intercooler in the front.... Or not... Maybe he was an odiot driver who knows. I OWNED some fool in a E46 M3 once cuz' he couldn't shift for crap. I felt bad after cuz I could see car lurching and jumpin around. It look like he left the tranny back at the light. At the next light he rolled down the window and said good race, (Ummm No), then anounced that his new M3 was the first stick he ever owned. Geez... They are pretty hot actually. On Imperial Highway, I was lined with next to a black EVO VIII, with the Asian guy my age (probably a few years older) I'm 16, giving me thumbs up. The lane between us, a riced out Mustang (not a Saleen) pulls up, not V8 either. Haha, on the green everyone punches it. The EVO basically dominated the launch haha.. I pulled the Mustang, and the guy in the Evo dropped back so he could stay with me. Those cars are fast! I wouldn't trade my G for one tho, no way. If i wanted pure speed, I could have gotten a hot M3 instead.

Oh the car was 100% an Evo. No doubt about it. In any case, it is a great car despite it not as fully equipped as the top of the line JDM GSR Evo. I almost bought the VIII instead of the G35 but decided that I wouldn't be happy to settle for less. I just have a love for the Skyline that no Evo could ever break. HEHEHE...

Hey Dragon, I wish my parents were cool enough to buy me my TT 300Z when I turned 16.

I'm sure you will learn to appreciate your car more when you've worked your @$$ off to get it.

I went to Mater Dei HS and my little sis still goes there and not a day passes when I feel a little resentful when I see kids driving an M5 or a 911 or Hummers out of there. When everything is given to you, the feeling if pride in ownership is never the same as working hard for your possesions.

Dragon, sounds like you are from Orange County (just a guess). You need to visit somewhere far away and see what reality looks like. I had the exact same mentality as you 3 years ago. Woodbridge High School was almost as bad as Mater Dei. Let me tell you, a lot of people there are living month to month, buying their kids M3s, hummers etc. People put image high on the priority list in So. Cal. This is not how most people live in any other part of the country. Just thank your parents for buying your ride and try to maintain a good work ethic. Im not trying to be an a$% hole, but I have gained some great perspective while attending West Point, because the tuition is free. A couple of days ago I met a kid who is taking his entire cadet loan (30k) to bail out his family's farm. I guess all of us are pretty damn fortunate. Just my 2 cents.

 

Give the kid a break... Enjoy yourself, be safe and have fun!

A lot of you guys criticize kids that have a G35 Coupe, but I know for a fact there would be no complaints if you guys were 16 and your parents bought you a G.

I would have been hella stoked to have gotten the car I wanted when I was 16 but the question still lies in the parents' choice.

An investment is an investment be it a car, boat, or house and leaving it in the hands of a teenager is a bit lackadasical.

I'm probably gonna give my kid a beater or a Civic to start out with.
