New owner questions

Hello All!

I'm picked up an 04 G35 coupe and have been smiling ever since. I have some dumb questions that I hope some of you can help me out:

1) There's a rounded triangular space beneath passenger side cigarette lighter, what exactly is it for? See attached picture.
2) Inside driver side, above the window, there is a space that says "Card holder". Again, what is it for? Parking tickets you get from parking garage kiosk? See attached for picture.
3) I got 3 keys, from the owner what are the differences?
4) Exhaust note: This is one of the best features I love about this car, the exhaust note is simply music to the ear. I noticed I can only hear it between 2000 - 3000 RPM in low gears...is this normal? how can I hear it more often? new header?

Cheers,

Johnny_206

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new ride......

I believe the space your referring to is for small storage items.....

the cardholder has many uses....tickets, parking stubs etc....its great for stashing whatever you may have paper wise...

When I purchased my car new in 04......
I received two sets of car keys with the Key Fobs......

Another key for valet parking....only opens the doors and ignition switch....there is also a switch in the glove box which disables the trunk release on the dashboard....

And one flat credit card key which you keep in your wallet in case of emergencies....lost keys etc......

The exhaust note seems its best at around 1,600 rpms...thats when it gives off that low tone growl.....Wide open throttle isn't too bad either!

Enjoy your new car, and let the mods begin.

driver side floor mat

The driver side floor mat is fixed in place by some sort of latch...how do I remove it for cleaning purposes?

It is a simple post that the mat slips over to keep it in place when you enter/exit the vehicle. Just lift the mat up from that area and it should come off quite easily........ That is the factory setup......was this replaced or are they aftermarket mats?

My 07 coupe doesn't have the passenger side outlet. I thought I just missed it when I saw your picture.

^^^My 06 doesn't either. That be nice to plug in my laptop.
Mines in that small rear flip up compartment in center consol.
Totally useless there imo.

Congrats on your 04 and welcome johnny_206.
