CD "clicking" problem - end of CD

Hi all. I have an '03 Gcoupe and am experiencing this problem w/ the upgraded BOSE CD player. When nearing the last track (or close to) of a CD, any CD (store bought, burned, etc.) starts this click click click click noise along w/ the music (coming from the speakers, but obviously sourced from the player itself). Songs play fine up until then. Checking the discs reveal no damage/scratches, etc. Any ideas before I bring it to the dealer to have them put a few more dings on my car?

That's just the changer getting ready to go to the next disc.

If you push a button to change discs manually, you should notice the same clicking sound. Since the disc change is kinda slow, the system buffers the last few seconds of the last song on a CD and switches the next CD in early to provide a shorter pause between discs.

Yup its a normal sound as the changer prepares to load the next disc being that the one your currently playing is done.

Guys.. I know the click sound of the changer going to the next CD. This sound is not the one I'm talking about.

The changer sound you're talking about clearly emits from the changer itself. This sound emits from all speakers, the only way I can describe it is a click noise. And it happens at the start of the last track, or in some cases the 2nd to last track, well before the BOSE system is supposed to change to the next CD in line...

Sounds like some sort of interference from a mechanism in the player. Have the dealer replace it.

I have the same problem with burned CD's. It's not only at the end of the CD though. I thought it was a problem with my burner.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have the same problem on all sorts of CDs; pressed CDs and burned CDs. I guess about the only thing to do is take it in for service. I'm scheduled to take mine in on the 18th for an oil change and some other fixes so maybe I'll ask about this as well.
