I have an 04 6mt it has 44k miles....i had put intake on my car(and yes it is installed correctly) and everything was fine but about 200 miles later my service engine light came on. At first i thought it was just some bad gas because i was on the yellow light when it came on, so i filled it up and drove it for a couple days thinking it would go off... Well four days later and it was still on so i took it to Auto zone to get it checked. It came up with the Bank 1 O2 sensor fault. So i started looking into a new O2 sensor not really worried about it just knew i wouldn't get as good of gas mileage becuase my car continued to run fine. As i did more research on here i read about resetting the ecu which i ended up doing to see if it would do anything. Well obviously the SES light is out, but my question it how long would it take for the system to show an O2 sensor fault again... I have driven my car 4 times for about 40 miles since the reset and no SES light.... I was wondering if it could be possible that the extra air coming into the motor from the intake could trick the ecu into thinking there was an O2 sensor fault. Or now that i have reset the ecu will it compensate for the extra air coming in. I am not very firmiliar with the ecu other than i have read it learns your driving habits etc and adjusts accordingly.
I appreciate any help i can get on the subject....if i it is something i should just change its no big deal the local dealership has the O2 sensor for $160

its more than likely the intake, especially if its a Fujita. I had the same issue about 4 months ago, after installing the fujita short ram. SES light would turn on, stay on for 2-3 days than would be off for 2 weeks, and then on again. I got rid of the intake, put on a z-tube with popcharger and no more light. I say sell the intake, put on a ztube/popcharger and you are good to go.
