One more reason to love your G..

Besides the other hundreds, I just discovered one more reason why I love my G so much. The in-dash CD-changer actually reads CD-RW too, so now I don't have to waste my CD-R burnings songs that I just gonna listen to them once.
BTW, anyone know how to XM radio works?

Just make sure you don't put one in with a label on it. You won't be loving it anymore.

What brand CD-RW disc did you use?

I thought I tried some CD-RWs and they didn't work, but I can't remember.

Kodak Music Series works very well IMO. I have never had a problem with those. I have only found them online though

Re: One more reason to love your G..

yes, what brand of CDRW's are you using? My Memorex ones don't work.

Also, what program are you using to write to the cd?

Thanks

Hey I think CD-RW's work but only if you finalize them and actually just take away the RW capability turning it into a CD-R. You wont be able to erase and write again if you do that. There really isnt a point in doing this as CD-RW's cost more anyway. The stock radio is only set up to read the CD song format, not .mp3

Re: One more reason to love your G..

What type of CD are you NOT suppose to put in? I've put in all types of CDs. Bought ones, ones with prints, and even the kind that look like a CD on both sides. I've not had a problem yet, but I would love to avoid it if I can.

Re: One more reason to love your G..

If I'm not mistaken, your common CD's and players use the .cda format. Some players will play other formats but most not. If the CD you're trying in your coupe isn't a .cda, it won't play. If it won't play, put it in your computer and see what the format is.

Re: One more reason to love your G..

Nope. Just a diffferent format for sound. There are all kinds. Almost too numerous to name and all having slightly different properties and applications. Some are slanted more towards quality, and for space considerations, some are compressed. Perhaps someone reading this can offer some enlightenment on this. I'm really not all that knowledgeable
