Had fun ride thru the Dragon

Just got back from taking a ride thru the tail of the dragon, Highway 129 down in the Smokey Mts. Has anyone else drove the Dragon? if you haven`t its a fun trip 318 turns in 11 miles. Read more at tailofthedragon.com. We had great time on those roads down there with our IP, 05, 35.

Looks fun! I have been on that rd before driving one of my fathers 18 wheelers for him and I almost hit the rail also. You have to be careful when cornering those roads with a Peterbilt. I have never been on it with my G though.....

I was hoping to get a job in that area then I could whip around on that road on occasion. Unfortunately the job never panned out but one day I'd like to try it out.

WARNING!!! i read in a car mag recently that the TN cops have been getting pi$$ed about everybody coming to drive the dragon and are giving tickets like mad, for things such as touching the yellow line, 5mph over the limit, etc.

i still want to drive on it myself but everyone just be careful!!

My wife and I took a ride to Northern CA to experience Hwy 36 first hand (Read about the highway here). It was fantastic! Words cannot convey the experience.

This challenging drive really made me appreciate the balance of the G35 (Power, handling, comfort, etc.). The Highway is ~140Mi of non-stop bliss. I discovered it while browsing for new roads to tackle.

My wife took video while I was driving (Good women ). I should edit/post it to share.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any driving enthusiasts.

I go up there every year... well 45 minutes away. This year i finally found time to take the trip out there. What a blast! I heard about the cops now too, but when i went, i didnt see one. Nothin like sharing a corner with a bike coming head on, dragging knee!
