People still egg? I thought they stopped doing that years ago and started keying more regularly. That sucks but it could've been worse.

So sorry to hear that! [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img] One of our cars got egged last summer and we didn’t see it until after the egg had cooked on the window (and down in the window mechanism). At least it didn’t sit on your paint too long and I really hope the eggshell didn’t scratch your paint!

You should wash that $hit ASAP. Not only it will eat the paint, but you won't be able to take it off if you let it dry for too long.

well thanks guys.. but actually i can see where the egg impacted. its a weird circle mark. well yeah, i can understand it being better egged than keyed.. but i just got my car last wednesday!
man. its like having one of your kids [immobile] egged then laughed at. =P

My car got egged three years ago (Miata - selling for my G) on Halloween. I didn't see it until the next day, and by then it was too late. The protein from the egg eats into the paint and you have a permanent stain. That kid cost my about $1000 out of pocket to fix his little fun. Another kid decided to cut a hole in my top before that, and the hole is still there.

I often wish I had a video surveillance (sp?) system to keep tabs on my cars. I hate people too.

people are just plain a$$holes, i can't believe that someone would egg, key or do anything to a car. it's like someone kicking your dog or something. sorry to hear about the egging

yeah.. my accord got egged two halloweens ago.. it seriously nasty.. yeah, it could have been worse if it were keyed, but having to wash the car 3 times to get the residue off wasn't fun.. the smell was so pungent it was nasty..

You are so right on the smell, our car smelled for weeks afterwards. The egg had gotten down inside the door and baked in the hot AZ sun. It was really unpleasant!

my prelude was also egged two halloweens ago. it was a biaaatch to get out and you could still see some yolk on my white car. but, a few weeks later, that panel got dented in. so the egg didn't matter anymore.
