Re: Rogue short throw shifter

I have one on my coupe and prefer it to the stock. It is very helpful on the track. I put the Nismo rubber GT **** on it, which is countersunk. Basically the **** is right at the boot, and there is no shaft showing at all. It is more precise and clean moving, a bit more force required. Everything is forearm and wrist...no shoulder movement.

Re: Rogue short throw shifter

I have it on mine too except with the NISMO GT Ti ****. I don't know if it's countersunk though,..... The hardest part of installing the Rouge shifter was getting the old shifter ball bearing off the plastic circular grease container thingy (you'll see what i mean if you buy it)

The best way to take that out was to put it against one of those metal clamps on work tables and take a plywood or hammer and hammer it out of their. it'll just pop right out...then do the same to put in the new shifter's ball bearing into the circular grease thingy...there are tons of other ways to do this...

The shifter feels like it SHOULDA CAME OFF THE LOT LIKE THIS feeling. When shifting into gates, it's very precise and there's only "one thump" as opposed to the two thumps you usually feel with stock. There's also no wiggling inside all 6 gates... although, it is quite stiff...like your popping it into gear (but no more of that grinding feeling)

It's a good shifter, i don't know of any other out there but i'd recommend this one with a new shift **** though... stock one is a pain in the *** to take off and put back on.

Yeah, what they said. I put one on my car and I'm using the stock **** for now. Crawling under the car was freaky and removing the old cup was a pain--but other than that an easy install, ha ha.
