Attention 06-07 Inteligent Key Coupe owners

I suspect that NONE of you have a "feature" that comes with this package. I was anticipating EASY ENTRY/EXIT for drivers side to be included. Owners manual mentions it, press releases mention it, Infinity Website ALSO mentions it, but I don't think any of us have it. Please advise

When the vehicle is in "Park" (auto tranny only) and you open the drivers door, the drivers seat scoots back and the steering wheel goes up. It makes it a little roomier to get out and then back in. It is supposed to happen automatically. I know we can press some buttons and get the same results. The motors and drives are ALREADY there. The only reason it wont work is if it has been disabled or if sombody forgot to write the one or two lines of computer "code".

Below are some "links" to the details on the availability of this feature ON COUPES...

Click Here For Press Release See "Sporty Exterior, Refined Interior "(Near bottom of "heading")http://www.nissantechinfo.com/infini...asp?dept_id=56

Another Press Release See "Model/Packages" at the bottomhttp://www.infinitihelp.com/Infiniti...escription.htm

Manuals Download Site See G35 Coupe 2007 Section 3-34http://www.news-nouvelles.nissan.ca/...n_release.html

The "links" are a little jumbled up, sorry.

Did you like it when it did it ? I sure liked it when my Maxima did it. Most passengers were quite impressed with the "intuitiveness" of my NISSAN. Why can't Infiniti Coupes do it ? They CAN and they SHOULD. As a matter of fact the planners and designers INTENDED it to work. Somehow, it doesn't.

Follow the "links" you will see.

I'm glad I saw this post. I spent quite awhile following the manual for my 07 coupe to get this feature to work. This and doors that automatically lock when the car is in drive seem like they should be standard features on a car with so many other options.

Right said. Sad part is Infiniti's Official response is "We changed our minds". No apology, no excuse. I told them I accept the fact that they have provisos and legal doublespeak "fluff" to insulate them from False or Misleading advertising claims. Can I just know why they "dropped" it from production ? They say that is a proprietary secret. Such bull ! If enough of us get "vocal" about this we will get some kind of satisfaction. Shall we unite my brothers and sisters ? Shall we take on the giant ?

actually, it does NOT exist on the coupe. The coupe has the switch behind the headrest to auto the seat forward when someone wants to enter/exit the rear. It will not automatically move to the rear unless U program the 2nd auto position to full back and whatever U like for the seat back and then U must manually select that position.

auto locking doors is as non-sensical as day time running lights...neither wanted nor needed, pure and simple, government intervention. I would not buy a car with either.

well, just thinking about it, I can kind of think of why you *wouldnt* want this on a coupe.

So, if lets just say I have a child, everytime I wanted to take my family in my g35 coupe and opened my door my chair would move all the way back. Then I pull the handle and it moves all the way forward and then back when I push the seat into a normal position. The seat and seat motor would be doing unecessary work, and actually it woud be quite annoying to me.

I sit with my seat almost all the way back anyway, unless I'm taking 4 people and I have to move it forward a little, so it's not an issue for me. Plus I don't have kids, but anyway, I guess I can see one reason they wouldn't want to do it.
