I have my driver #2 position set for all the way back, and slightly tilted back. When I exit I just push #2 and then I kill the ignition, seat is all the way back and slightly tilted and dash is all the way up. Makes for very easy in/out

It's true there are many reasons you would NOT want it. Also there are ways to "simulate" this feature by pressing another stored position that is set up for exit/entry. My point is that it was advertised as having it available with the "premium package". This is my "beef" with Infiniti. Why did they offer it and not deliver ? I would think a Total Customer Satisfaction driven company would be eager to give some kind of explanation. To "boil down" the company stance on this issue it is "Learn to live with dissapointment". "Don't be so petty", "Get over it". That is how they resolve conflict.

Let me guess, you're a lawyer.

It doesn't make sense in the coupe. Like was just said, if someone was in the back, not only would it crush their legs but it would have to move all the way back up to let someone out.

I agree the "benefit" of such a feature IS debatable. However, can they unilaterally decide to pull this option without being accountable to the consumer. By the way, no, I'm not a lawyer.

That's a pretty easy fix. Mine (07 coupe 5at premium pkg) has a sensor on the passenger seat. It tells the passenger airbags whether or not the "weight " in that seat needs air bags or not. if there is no weight the airbags default to "on". If there is too little weight they go to "off". Enough weight and they are activated. A $2 sensor resolves that safety concern. It's not rocket surgery. Next objection please...
