Drove a stock VQ35 today...

And honestly I miss it.

My buddy has a Z, because he loved my G lol... all he has on it is my old stillen CAI without a heatshield (lulz). It was pretty nice, those z's handle really well. It was kinda fun being able to floor it without laying my tires to watse... and I really miss the stock exhaust sound.

The only down side is that thing is a dog, I make 100tq more at 3krpms than he makes at 4500.

Anyway, to all you stockers and bolt-ons.. You're okay with me, I kinda miss those days! The car feels so much more realiable, tho this may change when i get my tranny upgrade for my bday!!! (nov4 dont forget)

Nothin wrong with stock, the closer you are to stock the less problems you have.

yeah and some say its a little quieter than stock but idk about that

High flow cats are the way to go to make the stock exhaust deeper and louder

+1 for just adding test pipes. Nothing will sound just like stock, the stock sound is still amazing when I hear it. Its just so much more memorable than any aftermarket. I still like my evo 2 though

Eh... you mean in this price range? I hope so, cause have you heard a Carrera GT or any car of that caliber? lol. But still I think even Chargers and Corvettes sound better than G35s because of the bigger engines.. Yeah G35s make a pretty growl but I'm more of a fan of the rougha$$ness of muscle cars (although I hate harley-davidsonesque motorcycles, really hate) Anyway listen to those muscle cars with intake and exhaust... LOOOOOOOUD deafening loud

I agree on that 1st point. My homie has a Nismo catback, Crawford plenum, and Injen CAI on his Z, but it still retains that stock tone. I really miss it!

Haha jtrain, I won't miss it, will be fun, and the exhaust note, not sure what to do. Just got use to the jic magic exhaust I have, and it has such a nice tone to it,and I know once the twins go on,and the aps with 3.5 dumps, I'm going to blow it all to hell haha.
