Drove a stock VQ35 today...

And honestly I miss it.

My buddy has a Z, because he loved my G lol... all he has on it is my old stillen CAI without a heatshield (lulz). It was pretty nice, those z's handle really well. It was kinda fun being able to floor it without laying my tires to watse... and I really miss the stock exhaust sound.

The only down side is that thing is a dog, I make 100tq more at 3krpms than he makes at 4500.


Anyway, to all you stockers and bolt-ons.. You're okay with me, I kinda miss those days! The car feels so much more realiable, tho this may change when i get my tranny upgrade for my bday!!! (nov4 dont forget)

I LOVE MY STOCK EXHAUST..IF I EVER DO CHANGE IT..IT WOULD BE THE NISMO! b/c i heard it sounds like stock but it has more of a deeper growl..

Nothin wrong with stock, the closer you are to stock the less problems you have.

dont waste your time with the nismo exhaust just get FI high flow cats

yea...i've heard a 350z with a nismo exhaust and that thing was quiet...pretty much the same as stock

yeah and some say its a little quieter than stock but idk about that

High flow cats are the way to go to make the stock exhaust deeper and louder

+1 for just adding test pipes. Nothing will sound just like stock, the stock sound is still amazing when I hear it. Its just so much more memorable than any aftermarket. I still like my evo 2 though

Eh... you mean in this price range? I hope so, cause have you heard a Carrera GT or any car of that caliber? lol. But still I think even Chargers and Corvettes sound better than G35s because of the bigger engines.. Yeah G35s make a pretty growl but I'm more of a fan of the rougha$$ness of muscle cars (although I hate harley-davidsonesque motorcycles, really hate) Anyway listen to those muscle cars with intake and exhaust... LOOOOOOOUD deafening loud

I agree on that 1st point. My homie has a Nismo catback, Crawford plenum, and Injen CAI on his Z, but it still retains that stock tone. I really miss it!

Haha jtrain, I won't miss it, will be fun, and the exhaust note, not sure what to do. Just got use to the jic magic exhaust I have,and it has such a nice tone to it,and I know once the twins go on,and the aps with 3.5 dumps, I'm going to blow it all to hell haha.
