i wish they have modules to time the engine to start/shut off while being out of town.

You shoulda added a third category - do you have a real winter or not? Those of us up north definitely need a beater. I tried snows my first year with the G, but it was still too low and with RWD I got stuck in my driveway once or twice. Sold the snows and wheels like new for $1K last summer and spent $2.5K on a '95 Isuzu Rodeo with 150K. That thing has not only taken me through one winter (and another to come), it has a full Thule rack system for bikes, skis, and my 17-ft sea kayak (try driving with *that* on the roof of your coupe!). So on messy days, rain or snow, or trips to Home Depot, the old SUV does the job and keeps my G in prime condition. The 10K miles I've put on it are that many less on the G - plus it makes me appreciate the Infiniti that much more. A cheaper beater is the way to go up north!
