It's true.
Oh and I am with you on not wanting to drive your G everyday because of putting all the miles on it. I am the same way with my M Coupe. Some of you may laugh, but my DD is an 86 lincoln towncar. It is soo much fun to drive and it pretty has a bench seat for the front seats so my GF can sit right besides me. It's a land yacht!

I rarely jump into the coupe forums, but I saw this one and am so glad I did.
Joker you jumping onto the BMW forum and posting is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. And for him to not respond? I may have to subscribe to that forum and that thread...could turn into a classic.
And I've never seen your ride until this...love it...

Bottom line is, yes it WAS a great car, but it's old and the torch has been passed. Just because it's a bimmer doesn't mean it can eat any other car alive.
It's funny, but from most of my past experiences, it's the low-end BMW owners that are jackasses, just like the low-end Merc owners. Usually, the E46 M3 and the 50k+ Merc crowd is pretty cool. It's the 328, c240 owners that develop this complex because they drive a European even though it's crap.

Both the e36 and r33 are obsolete! I thought everyone knew that.
