It's true.

Oh and I am with you on not wanting to drive your G everyday because of putting all the miles on it. I am the same way with my M Coupe. Some of you may laugh, but my DD is an 86 lincoln towncar. It is soo much fun to drive and it pretty has a bench seat for the front seats so my GF can sit right besides me. It's a land yacht!

my point is that car needs to be put to rest...yes, it was great during it's time, but it has since been replaced...my guess is he bought it because he couldn't afford the E46 M3 and thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread...hell, I bought the G35 because I couldn't afford an E46 M3 at the time, but I don't act like I'm the ****...he reminds me of all the other idiot bimmer owners that have tried to race me on the highway...just because I pass you doesn't mean I'm trying to race you jackass!

I rarely jump into the coupe forums, but I saw this one and am so glad I did.

Joker you jumping onto the BMW forum and posting is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. And for him to not respond? I may have to subscribe to that forum and that thread...could turn into a classic.

And I've never seen your ride until this...love it...

Damn you're right. The only we can do is to stay on the lane next to them, give em a hard stare, until he take the exit.

I thought if you wanted to race you were supposed to high-beam someone???

Bottom line is, yes it WAS a great car, but it's old and the torch has been passed. Just because it's a bimmer doesn't mean it can eat any other car alive.

It's funny, but from most of my past experiences, it's the low-end BMW owners that are jackasses, just like the low-end Merc owners. Usually, the E46 M3 and the 50k+ Merc crowd is pretty cool. It's the 328, c240 owners that develop this complex because they drive a European even though it's crap.

Why is it still faster than the majority of G35's here on both the drag strip and road course if it "was" a great car. It still is a great car. Thats like saying a r33 GT-R "was" a great car since the r34 and new GT-R are coming. Doesn't make alot of sense to me

I agree with ur, but bimmerforums has one of the coolest crouds when it comes to other cars. If this same thread was on E46fanatics people there would bash on joker like there is no tomorrow. Every forum has jacka$$es when it comes to other cars and this forum is no different. But great percentage of bimmerforums are educated car enthusiasts.

+1, its one of the 10 best cars of all time. And if i had a choice between E46 M3 with 10k miles and E36 M3 with 10K miles, I would take the E36 in heart beat.

Obviously the e46 is more refined and has more power than the e36. Still doesn't discredit the previous car though. I'll go back to my example of the r33 and r34 GT-R, since the r34 is an improved version of the R33, does that make the r33 not a great car anymore?

Well, uhmm...YEH! Duh! Anyone that would choose an r33/e36 over an r34/e46 is just out of his/her mind!

Both the e36 and r33 are obsolete! I thought everyone knew that.
