Question Baby car seat in the g coupe...

Well the title says it all!!

I'm interested in purchasing a g coupe, but i wanted to find out how a baby seat would fit in the back seat..

I do have an F150 so the g would not be driven everyday, but i would still like to have a seat back there just in case i wanted to go for a weekend drive with the family..

any of you guys out there have baby seats in their coupe or is this forbidden!?! lol!!

let me know

thanks

petes

I believe you can't put it in the middle (safest) due to the hump. But you can do a side install. If you have to use an infant unit that has a carrier/base, then I imagine it's a royal pain to wrench the carrier out all the time.

You shouldn't have a problem. I have a 4 year old.

I have a 5yr old and a 7 month old. The infant seat is a bit of a pain but worth the hassle in my opinion. You can't leave the seat in the car because its impossible to get baby into seat. You have to keep the seat out, put baby in it then install the seat in the base. The front seat needs to be moved forward quite a bit to fit the infant seat though, at least with my Graco seat. It doesnt look terribly comfortable for my wife when she's sitting in front. its also not easy to get the seat into the base because of how you have to hold the weight of the seat/baby out from your body horizontally to get it in. Its doable but not as easy as in a sedan. You can't get infant seat in with the carry handle in the up position either, and it hits the seat back of the front seat if its in the horizontal position.

The regular baby seat for my 5yr old is easy. No issues there.

Make sure you get those rubber mats to put under the baby/infant seats though. The deep sculpture of the seat bottom means the baby/infant seats dig into the leather and leave imprints. Could be stretching the leather over the long term.

Also, be prepared for the occasional spill. I still haven't figured out how to clean orange juice from the fuzzy cardboard cover of the middle hump...
