alright, my gf has the camera at school, so ill take pics after that, but ive taken a closer look at it, and i actually wiped a very small part of it off with just a wet towel lol...the scratch is actually about a foot long, and about half of that, the paint has clearly been scratched off, so i dont know what im going to do the other 6 inches seems like a blueish type of paint, its not paint, but i think its like the plastic bumper type materials that u see on dodge caravans if anyone knows what im talkin bout lol. but yea, i cant believe this happened

get some wax and see if it comes off. if not step up to the lightest grit rubbing compound and go up from there.

Imo...I think it's just paint from other moron who hit you.
Our G front noses are polyurethane which is black before prime/paint.

It look like it rubbed through your paint. Call your insurance and see if your comprehsive will cover it. But don't tell them somebody hit you. Tell them it was vandalism.

Try 3M Fine Cut Polishing compound - works great. Then wax it.

Should be a simple fix but you'll need to get it polished. I don't think you'll be able to do it by hand because you need enough speed and heat to break down the polish so the micro-abrasives can do their thing and realistically that generally is not done by hand. Find a good detailer and have them polish your bumper, shouldn't cost much at all. A wax won't do anything because waxes have no abrasives or cleaners. Hope that helps.

Go to pepboys and buy some of this 3M Perfect II rubbing compound. ($10-$15) a bottle. Every single bit of that should come out by the looks of it. Use a terry towel cloth in a clockwise motion.

thanks guys for all the input, i doubt insurance will do anything for me, cuz i have a $1000 deductible and ****, so itll be comin outta my pocket anyways. im not sure, but i think using the 3m polish will only get rid of the right half of the scuff...the left half seems like its MY paint thats chipped off...will 3m work as well or will i have to get the paint from the dealership and fill it in like that?

Try the 3M. It does so many wonders. Use a little elbow grease to buff it out. If had some NASTY scracthes on my car and managed to get them out completely (i have obsidian black) So try the 3M and let me know how it goes!
