which is why the short-ram, hot air intake sucks and is a waste of money.

Yeah but you have to be careful of the material used for the intake itself. Some materials are more likely to store heat, therefore negating any performance they could have offered.

Yeah Dude!! I've been loving the way my car sounds in the cabin lately since it's cold out. I'm not talking about the exhaust, but the actual sound of the motor itself. It seems to be a lot louder even at highway speeds, but in a good way.

Unfortunately, I probably only have another 2 or so weeks of driving the G before she gets wrapped up and stored away until April spring weather brings her out of hibernation.

the oem intake is already a CAI... fresh air goes into the grill and then into the filter enclosed in heat resistant plastic... all we really need a to replace our paper filter with a hi-flow filter... and plastics blocks out heat more then aluminum/metal... most aftermarket intake are made of aluminum.

CAI are ok, but are a biotch to maintain. the filter gets dirty real quick, and you might have to take them off during the rain season.
