Is The G Too Cheap?
Is The G Too Cheap?
OK this was exactly my fear. I was so excited about the value and class of this car. I thought that the price would knock a most of the kids doing all kind of disgusting things to their Civics and Neons out of this vehicle. I haven't seen too many Gs on the road in San Diego, but seeing all of the posts and the things that people are doing, or say they are doing to a perfectly AWSOME looking car makes me mad. Its insulting to the design people at Infiniti. I thought this was supposed to be a classy sports car. I'm not an old fart I'm only 28, and think that all of you idiots that do this should stop. Mods are cool, mods that you can't see are even cooler. ie chips, twin turbo (if it comes)... I'm all for originality but an F1 looking spoiler and stickers don't belong on the G. Take a look at what the real professional race car drivers drive on the street. Its not going to be lowered, its not going to have kits, stickers... Maybe some nice wheels and tint. That is usually it. If you don't like how the car looks buy a different car. No matter what you do to a Civic its still a Civic. No matter what you do to the G it will still be a G. So leave the design to the pros. Or go get a degree, pay your dues and get a job and go design for an auto manufacturer. I truly hope that all of these pics are photoshop dreamers living @ home with their moms. WAR HOME OWNERS!!!

I don't understand. That is fine that you do not like that "particular look" but that doesn't mean that someone else might. I do not plan to rice my car out either, but to each is their own. If someone has the money to purchase or lease the car they can do whatever they want to it...

I agree with you to an extent. However, if someone "rices" out there coupe, to me, it just seems like they are making it incredibly ugly. Let them do that, I don't care.

Re: Is The G Too Cheap?
it doesnt matter what class the car is, it still happens.
I saw a 2003 M3 slammed with 20's yesterday. Today I saw a SC400 with a full kit, one of my friends has a GS400 with a kit too.
I've seen other m3's with high spoilers and flag graphics all over it. I've seen convertable Jaguar's with graphics and spoilers, Mercedes with cheap rims and kits. The list goes on.
True, F1 style spoilers, "turbo spoiler" and adjustable sheet metal spoilers shouldn't be on the g35coupe IMO, but people are going to do what they want to do with their cars. It's all on taste and preference, respect that. Some people like to tint the windows, I think clear clean windows look better. People put rims to enhance the look of the car, what one puts on might actually ruin the lines and look no better then the stock.
"Its insulting to the design people at Infiniti". HMM that's something to think about. Infiniti is just a name that US puts on Nissan cars to make it sound more upper class. You took a small class on marketing right? You could sell a bottle of soap water with an inflated price just like a Pathfinder under the Infiniti name.
The G35coupe is still a Nissan. A V35 350gt Skyline that your going to see many Japanese kids fixing up just like civics. You'll get to see them stickered up and drifted into the side of MT. Akina or some other Japanese Mt. Maybe you'll even see the car in cartoons like Initial D.
If you want a car that no ones going to externally mod, go buy yourself some exotic car not sold on the mass production line.
