I would be careful with installing some type of locking mechanism on them. Most people who would steal them know they should come off easily, and when they don't, they may do more damage to the car than the clear corners are worth.

I chain my pitbull to my car and dont feed her for days then use a laser perimeter all while I sleep by the window with my riffle.

don't quote me on this, but i think I read in a different thread that as long as the actual bulb is amber, you can have clear reflectors.
