you have a non-revup. revups are on 05 and up i believe. revup engines have a higher redline and are only available on 6mt

the spacer can be used on both rev-up and non rev-up engines

What about the *NEW* lower plenum collector from Motordyne?

They (motordyne replied back to my e-mail inquires) and said that for my 2003 I could get their new lower [Iso Thermal MREV 2 Manifold] AND the 5/16" spacer and see MASSIVE gains.

What is everyone's .02 on this??

Thanks Guys!,

You will not need to tune...

If you ahve a NON-REV-UP motor there is no NEED for the MREV Manifold... its optional, but the MREV Manifold makes the MOST Gain on a REV-UP motor... The Manifold on a NON_REV-UP will gain but very small amount, noticeable? Hard to say IMHO...

Interested in a spacer kit we have them all instock! PM me with your zip code for pricing!

ok... so now that i know my motor is a NON-REVUP.... from what i've read i'm going to get more out of a spacer than a REVUP would...

i guess i need to be thinking about the long run plans for the car in maters such as these... in about a year or so i will be going big TT so should i invest my time in the this new lower plenum or is it going to be a waste of money?...

and as far as the spacer goes is bigger not necessarily better?... i've seen them up to 5/8"

Thanks

Hi WhiteonWheat,

I don't recall using the words "Massive gains" to describe the MREV2/spacer combination, but when used on a REVUP engine it will certaintly be the best bolt-on short of nitrous or FI.

It will make a minimum of 15HP/18TQ in the upper midrange. Many people have dynod in excess if 20HP/30TQ.

For the NON-REVUP motor, the best gains can be made with the spacer and MREV2, but this combo still works better on a REVUP.

For your application, I generally recommend the 5/16" spacer. It provides a good bang for the buck and makes the most area under the power curve.

so i don't think i'm wording my thoughts correctly... i plan on going TT so i would like to be doing the simple bolt ons now... in knowing that... what would be the optimum plenum setup for a TT that is usable on the NA without starving power

Either the 1/2" or the 5/16" spacer will help.
As you can see from the comparative dyno plots they both make similar gains. And you can expect the same when FI.

One other thing that will help is test pipes. They work great NA and even better when FI.

Hey Tony,

This is Tony correct?

Yes, you are right, you didn't use the wording "Massive". I stand correct. LOL.

*******************

Ok, this is still very confusing to me and I honestly don't know why. LOL. I just want the MOST gains I can get out of my 2003 coupe WITHOUT re-tuning.

What's confusing to me is the ORIGINAL MREV2 was to be used on the REVUP engine ONLY...now the motordyne site says it's been *updated* for use on ALL coupes.

What I have (2003 NON-REVUP 6MT)
Should I:

A.) Get the 5/16" Spacer and call it a day?
*NO TUNING

B.) Get the 5/16" Spacer AND the MREV2 Lower Collector and call it a day?
*TUNE WILL BE NEEDED?

Sorry I'm retarded guys, please bare with me.

Thanks Guys!
