How easy is warranty work?
I've had my car for 1 week and 3 days now, I'm very happy with it other than this clutch. I know the clutch is different than other 'lesser' manuals (I come from Chevys/91 DSM Turbo/Old VWs) but this doesn't seem right. In normal driving everything is fine, but under moderate or heavy acceleration I have to slow the motor down to catch the trans. It just slips for a second or two when I completely let out the clutch (foot off the pedal) it's not a hard catch like a manual should be. To an outside observer it looks and sounds as if I'm holding the clutch pedal half way in, but it should be all the way engaged.
Is this normal? I can't imagine it is. Also, this was an Infiniti certified used car with 110k/84mo B2B warranty from ISD (Currently 32k with ISD 10/2005). I've only driven 200 miles so I can't see them claiming this is general wear and tear. Think I will have a tough time getting this fixed/replaced?
The car is a 2006 G35 Coupe 6mt with all the options and the only mod is an AEM CAI installed by the dealer this past monday. My dealership is Superstition Infiniti in Mesa, Az.
