bumper got hit

hey guys,

so some retard at school tried to park next to my car and scraped the whole side of the rear bumper. i was super pissed, they didnt even leave a note or anything. where would i pick up a new oem bumper that is already painted. whats the best thing i should do?

Pics? Is the old one fixable? Seems like that would be the cheapest route if it's just scratched. Likely wouldn't even have to take it off the car.

how deep are the scratches, if any at all? or are they scuffs? if they're just scuffs, then you might be able to buff them out.

i don't believe stock rear bumpers come pre-painted, but i could be mistaken. try tony@riversideinfiniti.

True, and I suppose it should be taken off to be done right anyways But regardless painting or buffing is cheaper than replacing.

Get a new one. You will prob. have to get it painted anyway.

Replacement OEM bumpers do not come pre-painted. I've had to get mine replaced due to getting bumped into at a toll booth a couple years ago.

Where I live (Ca) we have people that specialize in bumper repair. The same
folks that remove dents without actually doing any paint/body work. Look in
your Yellow Pages you should find a company located in your neighborhood.

My experience with the G35 Coupes have been $300 for the bumper and another $300 for repaint and install.
