New to the G coupe...Couple questions?

I just bought a used 03 IP Coupe with 32,000 miles. I have a couple questions though....

1) How do I know if my car has the sport suspension or not?

2) How much does the quality of the ride decrease with Eibach prokits?

3) How do I change my license plate lights because 1 of them is out?

Thanks for all the help....I've been reading on the site for a couple days now. So far it's great but there is so much to read!

if your car has 6MT or brembos then you have the sports. as far as the light, I think you just need to remove the cover.

For the light you have to pop out the cover using a flathead screwdriver and then quarter-turn out the light fixture. It's not too difficult.

If you want to upgrade your lights I'd recommend going with V-LEDs from frickinbrite.com. The bulb code for that bulb is 194, and the best of the "white" colors is the "High Power" white bulbs. I've replaced all my bulbs (license plate, reverse lights, under-door lights, map lights, clearance strip lights and front corner lights) with V-LEDs high power white bulbs and they look awesome. They give off a white light with a very slight blue hue. In your license plate lights they'll look a lot like the new IS350's stock license plate bulbs.

I don't know about the ProKits on a G35, but I had them on my Prelude way back when and really liked them - good ride quality, perfect drop.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the community!

you can remove the license plate light without any tools, just need your hands to pop them out, very easy to do, even easier than changing out the front corner lights

Thanks for the help. I already ordered bright white VLEDs for the license plate, reverse, clearance, and sidemarker lights. Now I just found out I need to replace a rear sidemarker.

Do you know what size the rear sidemarker light is?

Yes you can but you'll have to get it programmed at the dealer anyway. And Ebay should have some blank infiniti keys. PM Jason@Riverside
Im sure he can help you out with all your needs. Welcome

Ok here is another question. This is about the third brake light. There are two of them, 1 inside the car and 1 on the spoiler. Do they both light up.

I notice that from park to reverse, the one in the car lights up (because I can see the reflection in the window. But during normal driving I can't see the reflection when braking. I have also seen pics of the coupe at a stop light and that third brake light in the car is not lit.

My question is when do the two of them lit? Are they different?

You can disconnect it yourself... squeeze the cover with your fingers on both sides and pull it out. Disconnect the wire and place the cover back on.

So does that mean it always lights up?

If you have the spoiler the dealer should've disconnected the brake light inside the car. So no, it's not suppose to be on. Unless you like it?

If you disconnect the brake light inside it wont turn on unless you reconnect it. All other brake lights will work
