OEM part question???

I got into a pretty big wreck with my 06 coupe sports package and well i just got the car back from the body shop today, and i noticed that i had orange corner lights now. I asked why the orange replacements and not the clears, he told me he ordered the lights from nissan and that the dealer told him the clear corners are after market. So my question is was the dealer right and my corners are supposed to be orange? or are they supposed to be clear? The part i had on there was the ICHIKOH 5375 i guess thats the part number for the light i previously had on my car. On the back of the housing it has the same number and name but it also has nissan printed on there which leads me to believe that its OEM. Also i purchased the car brand new and they had the clear corners. So im just a little confused please help!

The clear corner lights are actually OEM to the JAPANESE market only... They are not a standard part for the US Market...

When insurance company's are paying for a body shop to do the work, they pay for the factory parts only, unless a receipt of the original purchase of the aftermarket part is supplied / requested... They order replacement parts per your VIN number which calls for the ambers...

I do have the clear corners instock... They are actually less then the amber clear corners!

You can try to get compensated for them from the body shop, but may not be worth the trouble...

$35.60 shipped out side of california... $38 shipped in california.

if you would like to purchase let me know your paypal email address and I can send a payment request or give me a call on monday...

just wondering, were your corners actually smashed in the accident? i would imagine they would have just popped out and dangled by the wires.
