is this normal for the g35 coupes?

ok..today i filled up my tank full for the first time.(just got the car the other day)..but..when i pumped full tank..then went to start the car..the gas meter was only up till 1/4-ish to full..so i was like "wtf" tired to pump more gas but it was full..so i was confused..started to drive home..then the gas meter started to fill up..and now it is at full..well..u know how the gas tank has one bold bar at full and one bold bar at empty..it is right under the bold bar for full...is it suppose to be on the bar? or above it? (like hondas when u pump full gas)

so my question is
1) does ur g35 do the same thing after fill up..bar only goes up with 1/4 till full..then when u start driving..it slowly goes up to full
2)the bar only up till just below the orange bold bar for full

sorry i never owned an infiniti..so im not sure if its normal..im use to just after filling the tank up full..the bar flys stright up to alittle above the full bar..so to me..thats normal....thanks for the help guys..cuz if this is wrong..ima bring my car back into the dealer to get that **** fixed...

i appricate everyones help on this forum for helping me with my questions

1) i wouldnt say it goes up to 1/4.. more like at least 5/6th and then goes all the way
2) in the beginning, when it was new, bar used to go over the Full meter, now it doesnt, (40K miles)

I've been to lazy to check up on it.

Have dealer check/replace the fuel sending unit. do a search - it's a common problem.
