New Brembo pads installed for $500 from dealer?

I got an estimate for just shy of $500 for front and rear new brembo pads installed and my roters resurfaced from the dealer. Is this a good price?

Thanks I need them done ASAP and don't want to get hosed in price!

Depending on the labor...

Usually dealers charge about 2 hours for front brakes...

labor rate is usually $100 an hour on average...

I have the parts...

Factory OEM Brembo Pads my special price is $225 Shipped for FRONT & REAR. Plus Tax in CA...

If you want Hawk HPS pads which are less dust... They are less.. PM me zip code for pricing...

I also have rotors too...

I can ship monday!

Disk brakes are cake to do. I'd recommend doing them yourself. Even if you've never done a brake job before, you should be able to do a set of front brakes in well under 2 hours and save a boatload of cash.

Once you know how to do a brake job, it usually takes longer to lift the car up off the ground(unless you own a nice lift or floor jack) and get the wheels off than it does to change the pads.

Brembo Job

Ha, my dealer said they can't cut my rotors because they are below spec. Quoted me $1,300 for front pads and rotors installation. I kindly declined and said I'll come back and let them just do the labor.
I always buy OEM parts online for cheaper and bring them to the dealer for install. Dealer quote for installing pads and resurfacing rotors is 1.5 hours of labor. You can find rear Brembo pads for around $80. Just search. Good luck.

So I guess that $500 is not bad for them installed? I am not doing it myself.

For just front pads?

If the installation is $220 ($110 per hour labor): then what is the other $280 For?

Front pads will run you $148 Shipped for OEM pads from me...

If you use your own pads: $148 + $220 = $368
