Slip and vdc off lights on

Hey the other day my slip and vdc off lights came on and I found out that it's most likely is my breaks, since they have 40K miles on them and they are starting to squeak. My questions are, is it possible that brakes are causing the problem? And what pads do you use? I really don't feel like spending the $ on the brembo's so is there a good alternative that's cheaper? Same thing goes for rotors. Thanks.

PS- I already know the answer to this question but someone told me today, that some companies cover break pads and rotors in the warranty, does that by any chance include infiniti?

Check you brake fluid level. Usually when the fluid level is low that will cause the slip and VDC and brake lights to come on.

I had the donut on my car and my abs slip and vdc lights were on.

I do beleive low pads will send the lights on, and look into after market pads that emit low brake dust. Hawk pads will work

Low pads would not turn on those lights. Low fluid would (and burnouts). There are many paces that offer after market replacements for Brembo brakes - Tire Rack being one. Pro-Slot rotors are a very nice alternative. Match them with a set of Hawk HPS and you're in great shape. The dealer replaced mine at around 33K under warranty.

check to see if your brake lights work. your running lights will still be on but ur brake light might not come on when you step on the brake. Same things happened to me twice when i've blown the fuse to the brake lights and the vdc and slip came on
