Took Nissan 2nd place at the D1 Drift show

They didn't have a seperate Infiniti category but I didn't do too bad considering there were some sweet 350's there... Vortech used my G35 as their prototype car to fabricate their "official" G35 s/c kit. The gauge pod was custom done by me in my buddies garage and took me forever, my first fiberglass project.. I contemplated on the idea of selling them on here for you guys but had no idea of how hard it was. I will think about it... Didn't turn out too bad. Those are 60mm greddy gauges that you see in the pics. Anyway, tell me what you guys think.. link:

Thanks!

ohhh MAN i have been looking all over for the gauge set up you have. What i mean is not the gauges the holder for it. Isnt there a head airbag over there?

How much was the set up and where did you get the holster for the guages?

Did you even bother to read the post? I made it myself. It was a pain in the ***... There is no airbag there, the side curtain airbags are on the B pillar I believe its called, behind the front seats to the left of the big window.

The condition or quality of being literate, especially the ability to read and write. See Usage Note at literate. : )

It's a shame people don't actually read the posts.

Congrats narkotic! The car looks great. Why is it that all I ever see on Import mags is 350z? Never a G. Kinda pisses me off. Cars like your could easily make it in to the feature sections.

Re: Took Nissan 2nd place at the D1 Drift show

You have an awesome setup....probably "The Perfect Setup" for the G.

What are your impressions of the Vortech?
What are your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times?
How has gas mileage been affected?
Is the short throw worth the effort?

Look forward to your response.

Good job winning in 2nd place Nissan. Just wondering who took first and how many nissans/infinitis were actually at D1?

Re: Took Nissan 2nd place at the D1 Drift show

There were quite a few 350's there actually, much more worthy than my car, but I think i Had the advantage since I was the only modified G35 there...

First place was given to black track's Power enterprise twin turbo 350z, which is in team showcase with me...

Re: Took Nissan 2nd place at the D1 Drift show

The HKS muffler I did was custom made by a muffler shop, I got the universal carbon/ti hks can and had a mandrel-bent Y pipe/down pipe made for cheaper than any aftermarket kit out there and made the most power...
