2005 G35 changes from Grubbs
This is cut 'n' pasted from FA regarding changes for 2005 models.
---------------------------------------------
OK, here is what I know to date.
1. As previously discussed the interior is a complete do over. Expect to see seat controls changed, higher quality leathers and an upgraded dash, possibly LCD instruments since that is what is coming in the new M35/M45. I also expect we will see aluminum pedals added and the titaninum painted center (or any painted trim) to disappear. This makeover of the interior is a 100% redo and will incorporate many of the features you have asked for.
2. The sheet metal will not change but the front and rear bumpers will be totally redone and incorporate the aero kits, or something very similar to them, on both the coupe and sedan models. For those of you with 03 model sedans that have been wanting to buy an aero kit Infiniti has just reduced the price 23%. They are closing them out because next year thaey will be standard.
3. Don't look for a horsepower increase because there won't be one BUT you can certainly look for a price increase for at least 3 reasons.
a. Because of the upgrades.
b. Because ALG just added it to the top 10 of highest resale vehicles.
c. By not increasing the price on the new model it unnecessarily depresses the price of past models and they want to keep G35 in the top 10.

Same here. I'm betting everything will be the same come 2005 models. Maybe some packages will be standard but appearance wise, nothing will change. Normally you make major changes to a car after 4 years not 2.

Betting how much?! Why would the GM of a large Infiniti dealership reveal this news if it weren't true? He only stands to lose sales in 2004 models.
Anyway, the answer to why Infiniti would be making changes has to do with creating even bigger market share and staying ahead of (not just riding along with) the competition. Acura, Lexus, BMW, and even Cadillac aren't stupid and won't stand still. They will try to create and surpass the G35, and the TL and CTS are just a preview. So far, they aren't there, but why let them catch up?!

redesigning after 2 years? Here goes infiniti's resale even more down the toilet than it already is!!...After this you'll be able to see our resale values at your local **** dump..or wherever your **** goes when you flush that toilet!.

"resale going down the toilet"? Do you have any idea what you are talking about? The recent (as in within the last week) resale report from ALG says the G35 is in the top 10% of all vehicles in resale value.
Infiniti isn't stupid to do a remake in 2 years. This is just an incremental improvement and the price will increase to reflect this, thus not affecting 03/04 models in resale value.

mixed..ur gay..for replying to him...
Screw Infiniti. I love my G but my next car will be in 06 when Lexus drops their racing tuned models. I am not making this up. It could be a total lie for all I know but Lex has pretty much dominated the Asian import market in the US for quite some time and from what I have read, they will be refreshing every product 07 models in 06 and will also find a way to enhance the sales and service experience for the consumer. Why did I bring this up here?
We are G lovers...Im bored and umm i got my info from http://www2.autospies.com/

They should add an option for more hp. I still think a tt setup as an option would be a nice addition.
