Warranty or Not???

I have to bring my G in for service this Wendsay, have a few minor problems
like the window regulators ect. ect. I was wondering if anyone has gotten a
new steering wheel/shift **** because of excess wear. I have 42k miles on
my coupe, and they dont look that great, I know a few people have gotten
these items replaced unfer warranty, I was just wondering what you said
get it done. The only reasin I beleve this would be warranty work is
because of "defective" or cheap materials used to make them, some of the
stitching on my steering wheel is coming un-done, and its not like I can do
anyhting to stop, or prevent this from happening.

i got 2 new steering wheels...i told them my switches were acting up and the second time i asked my tech to put in the request - he stated the steering wheel was defective and coming apart...see it helps not to screw over your tech trying to get as much free work as possible without tipping them from time to time

If you say its because of wear its going to be a dealer call to replace it under warranty. I did have my shift **** replaced under warranty but that is only because I had them perform a 30K mile service at the same time and since they were rapping me on one end, they decided to give a little back.

Update

Okay, they wouldnt replace the steering wheel. They say that they muct compare it to a car with similar mileage, and if it shows excessive wear then they can replace it. But they did relace my shifter and "fix" the rattles in the car.

Yea, it sucks, but atleast they gave me the shifer. I can understand them comparing it to cars with the same mileage, but I still feel that the stiching coming undone is a problem. I guess I will have toi try next time I bring the car in for service, and mabe contact Infinit NA, and see what they can do about it.
